What the crime scene looked like BEFORE the massacre…

actual photograph scanned in, cropped, and enlarged
The first thing you look at in this photo are the benches. Their bright light draws in your eyes and you find yourself following their grain. Then your eye slides down to their darker side that are marbled with shades of red. Then down to the dark green-ish blue deck. You find a symphony of well captured color down here, though it is easily left unnoticed due to the bright benches. Lastly, one looks at the ocean and it's faint ripples and color variations.

Over all I feel this image was very well color, but the one issue is it doesn't feel as if it has one central point of focus. Sure you are first drawn to the benches, but they are not much to look at. I feel the background of this photo would've made a much better center focus which would've been achieved by getting a lower look at the deck and the ocean.

I like this photo overall, but it seems a little dull at first. It takes a thoughtful eye to truly enjoy the undertones of this photo. Whereas a quick-glancer probably would not enjoy it.
