Hello hello! I'm trying to get a temperature on this little idea

For those who don't know the owner of FA (Dragoneer) past away recently, FA now has a gofund me open and its well passed the goal! Yay! I'd like to donate too but I don't really have spare cash to throw around like that :')

Sooo like the title says, would anyone be interested in commissioning me? I'm thinking about doing sketches like I did for ArtFight since I can hammer those out pretty quick and I wouldn't charge much. I'd like to earn about $100 and if I make more than that during this run, those following funds will be donated too!

To show proof of doing so I'll make a public comment under my username, screencap it and I'd even link it, but I don't think gofund me does that :(

I'd like to help in some way since FA is really one of the few art sites for artists... and art is the only thing I got to offer orz

Anyways this journal is just checking for any interest around this idea, so please let me know. I don't like begging for comments, but they really help me know how many people are interested, leave a 👍,❤️ or whatever emoji you wanna comment if ya donno what to say (big mood). I'm also open for any questions around this too!

I don't want to bring the mood down, but DA doesn't really make me happy anymore, all the new updates, Ai being pushed everywhere, more artist I follow keep dropping this place…

It feels icky and makes me sad, I know Ai is here to stay and I'd do believe it has its place, but man this has really shown how vile people can get (on both sides). But anyways I don't want to spend more time on that.

Tbh ever since covid happened I've been really off my game when it comes to art. I haven't been consistent, and I feel this anxiety?? Around posting art because I end up going on long inactive stints and then suddenly post. Idk it used to not be like that and I felt fine just posting. I haven't been making much stuff that I'm proud of either. I do have a backlog of some work I have yet to share but idk, on top of that I don't have as much time for art like i used too :’)

For now I’ll keep lurking on DA cause i can't seem to get rid of it lol, buuuut I’ll be trying out Cara and Newgrounds. I think I’ll use DA to announce things like Comms, YCH, and YT videos. I've been inactive everywhere but if you want to continue to see things made by me, FA is the best place for that! I also tend to write journals their the most.

Oh yeah!! I'm shifting gears a little bit and focusing more on animation!! I made a 2d animation demo reel a bit ago, you can check it out HERE

Anyone know where the art scene really is?? I feel like DA has gotten really quiet, granted I haven't been terribly active on here, and this place has been pretty overrun with Ai unfortunately

Lately I've be finding myself more active on FA cause I feel like that place has been more consistent, but I know isn't 'mainstream'
