Swimming in the Depths (Digimon AU Shining Stars)

Alice blinked as she looked around her surroundings and was in complete amazement. She was underwater with Vee, who armored evolved into a Digimon called Depthmon. She giggled as she watched him swim around in his new form, he went ahead to play with a few Dolphomons. She watched as she touched the bubble helm she had around her head.

"Careful, don't pop it." Alice turned to see Seahomon, a friend they met in the Net Ocean that had helped them get way from the MegaSeadramon that chased them.

"Sorry, I can't help it," Alice said, "I'm just amazed with all of this, I can believe there was more down here, I thought we and the island village were the only ones, why are you guys doing in the depths?" Seahomon sighed softly as some bubbles escaped from his horn, "The Pirates..." "Pirates?" Alice tilted her head in confusion, Seahomon continued, "Digimon Pirates have been terrorizing the waters, making it hard for any of the water Digimon to come to the surface and enjoy it. Most if not all of us stay here, no one wants to be captured by the Pirates..."

"Oh..I see, but don't you guys tried to stop them? I'm sure you can defeat the Pirates." Seahomon sighed, "We tried but something happens to the Digimon, no one knows but it's like they aren't themselves.." Alice frowned softly, Seahomon frowned with his eyes, "I'm afraid there isn't anything we can do..we have just gotten use to it.." "There has to be something we can do."

"Please don't worry yourself human, I do appreciate it but it's our problem.." Alice shook her head, "But me and Vee have helped other Digimon with their problems, I'm sure we can with this one." Seahomon hesitated, "I don't know if you and your friend can.."

"Please Seahomon, don't you want you and your friends to go up and have fun again?," Alice asked. Seahomon was silent for a moment, he looked up to Alice and turned to see Vee swimming with the Dolphomons, he then looked back to Alice, "Human, I do want to have fun again...so..please, can you help us?" Alice smiled softly as she gently took Seahomon's wings and nodded, "I promise we will help you." Seahomon smiled a little, Alice turned to Vee as she waved at him to come back, she saw him turned to the Dolphomon as he waved goodbye to them and coming back to Alice.

"What's up?", he asked. "We have another job to do," Alice said. "We are going to stop some Pirates." Vee grinned, "Great! Um, so where are they?" "Oh I forgot to ask." Alice looked to Seahomon who swam to them, "Follow me, there is someone that can tell you where they are."

Seahomon began to led them, Vee reached to Alice with his webbed claws, Alice took them, helping her out, as the two swimmers followed the Digimon seahorse, they went deeper into the Depths of the Net Ocean.

Happy Mermay!! I'm so happy to draw something for this month, gives me an excuse to draw a little something from my Digimon AU lol XD

That and drawing Depthmon an armor evolution for Vee's species in which is my favorite and it's perfect for the Mermay month. X3

I will say, that Vee gets two different forms and well a surprise one but that's for later in the AU story. 👀

I just had fun with this one, played with the shading and the colors in this one. Honestly this drawing was a de-stresser for me with everything going on in my life. I'm just glad to have something for Mermay. X3

I hope you guys like it and hope you like the short story for the drawing. I do have another thing for the Mermay, I'll have to see how I feel but I do hope to get it done soon. So be on the lookout for that! <3
