My First Polymer Miniatures by CreativeAbubot My First Polymer Miniatures by CreativeAbubot
These are my very first polymer clay miniatures. I'm happy with how the cupcake and cake slice turned out. But I still have to work on my slice bread textures.

Hey. Don't be down on yourself. First, you made this for a child's doll (or it wouldn't be 1:6 but smaller); second, I think it all looks realistic. Maybe the one thing I MIGHT change about your sandwiches is what you put on them, but that's just personal preference. (I would prefer pb AND j, not pb OR j.) Great job! Keep it up. :)

I've seen many reccomendations to add traslucent clay to the cake itself, to make it look more realistic.

oh wow they look so realistic!
i keep hearing that polymer clay works best in making miniatures... im dying to buy some to make some stuff...
so do are those the kind you have to bake, and how do you make it look "real" or shiny i guess... with gloss or what?

Is it wrong that looking at them makes me hungry, lol? You did a great job! I'm just starting to get into miniatures and I can't wait to try to model some things out of clay.

Actually from here it looks like real bread texture with the bubble and everything, but perhaps in person this is not so?

Good job!

Amazing. But I agree with Paperfaceparade! Your first! Wow. The crust is simply beautiful, but I recommend using something a bit rougher for the bread's texture. Other than that, I love it!

do you use a cane for the bread,i find it easyer to cover the crust with pastel or pencil lead dust and a light dust on the white
love the texture on the cupcake (Y)

For the bread, I made the whole loaf first (which is kinda like a cane), dust it with pastel chalk, then slice the pieces.

For the cupcake texture, I use Scotch-Brite! =D

Everything is made from polymer clay including the muffin bottom. I mentioned how did it from this post's comments ---> [link]

For the crust on the bread, I just used pastel chalk.

Thanks! =D
