Chapter Two   Two Years Later…   2012   Puente Antiguo, New Mexico   Darcy wished that she had left New York behind sooner or on better terms that night, but she knew that she couldn’t stay after what happened. She not only realized things weren’t going to change, but she wanted a clean slate for herself, not just because of her loss, even if that meant keeping the fact that she was a mutant a secret for the rest of her life.   After leaving New York, Darcy got a job as an intern with enough credits and decided to work for Jane and Erik as she keeps the Holowatch on at all times.
