Hello and welcome to Create-A-Character!

An original character, or OC, as defined by this group is: An original character created and used by you for your own purposes, not characters created for an already existing series, game, or other.

Now here is all the information you need to know to get you started!

The group doesn't allow bases, painted over anime screenshots, commission prices / ych, contests or adoptables.
If there are different versions of one image, please submit only ONE version.
NSFW material needs to be sent to the NSFW Folder
If your submission gets declined, feel free to comment and ask why
Submitting art of friends OC's are totally fine!
Just know that we only accept OCS!!

We do not accept Fan Art or Fan Characters!!

To Become a Member:

Just click the "Join Our Group" button which is beside "+devwatch" and "Send a Note" buttons.
(You don't have to watch the group but it is recommended)

To Submit Art:

Only 2 pictures a month per member, please!

Click "Gallery" on group's main page and then click "+Submit to this Gallery". Afterwords choose 'submit new deviation' or 'contribute an existing deviation' and then a new window will pop up and you'll get to choose which picture you'd like to submit!

Group Folders:

Female Solo: Female Humans / Human-like (i.e. Demon, Angel, Elf, Vampire, Robots / Cyborgs, Kemonomimi, Etc)

Male Solo: Male Humans / Human-like (i.e. Demon, Angel, Elf, Vampire, Robots / Cyborgs, Kemonomimi, Etc.)

Genderless Solo: For characters who belong to neither gender or both.

Literature: For any written works about your OC's.

Non-humanoid Female: All Female fantasy / creature-type characters

Non-humanoid Male: All Male fantasy / creature-type characters

Male Anthro Solo: Male human-like characters who still have animal qualities

Female Anthro Solo: Female human-like characters who still have animal qualities

Male Feral Solo: Male animal characters

Female Feral Solo: Female animal characters

Comics: It is just as the name implies, you can submit small mini comics or 4 pages of an ongoing comic.

Couples or Duos: If there is two characters in the picture, it goes here.

Groups: This for pictures of a large group of characters both male, female and etc.

NSFW: All the naughty goes in here.

OC Related Journals: Should be straightforward

Misc: If there's anything else... it goes in here!

OC Friendship/Shippin Contest! -Results-

Wow okay. I really want to stress that this contest was the most difficult thing to judge ever!! The contest brought in 80 entries WOW I'm so amazed. All the entries were fantastic, and I applaud all of the work that was put behind each and every one.
When I started this contest I was unsure how it was going to go, but it's so heartwarming to see how inspired you guys got with the entries. QAQ So many good ocs you guys have!
OKAY so the results were based off of a combination of skill, composition and storytelling! So please keep that in mind! Here's the results!!

WOOO HOW EXCITING!! Ok, so this piece really blew me away. Mageia did a perfect job at writing not only Dylan, but also Nathanael, and put a super fantastic AU twist on it that was unmatched. Dylan being a prince works so perfectly, and her writing is phenomenal!!

New folders have been added!

Hello, everyone!

Lately there have been quite a few concerns regarding the folders this group has had.
As a way of clearing up some of the confusion, new folders have been added!

As of today, these new folders include:

The folder "Couples or Two People" has now been renamed as "Couples or Duos" to allow all types of pairs to be placed within it!

If you have a character that is a robot or a cyborg, please submit them to either "Male Solo" or "Female Solo"

Please note, we do NOT accept fan art, or fan characters! If we find any that somehow slipped passed us, we will remove them from the group!

Non-humanoid Female: All Female fantasy / creature-type characters

Non-humanoid Male: All Male fantasy / creature-type characters

Male Anthro Solo: Male human-like characters who still have animal qualities

Female Anthro Solo: Female human-like characters who still have animal qualities

As well, the Male and Female solo folders now have the requirement of characters who are human / human-like ((i.e. Demon, Angel, Elf, Vampire, Kemonomimi, etc.))

If there are any anthro / feral / non-humanoid characters who identify as either genderless or both, please continue to place them within the "Genderless Solo" folder

Also another issue that was brought up:

When submitting a piece will multiple versions, please submit only one of the versions!
This will clear up any duplicates of what looks to be the same image!
