also BASED on the one from StarCraft by Blizzard Entertainment.
don't make the mistake the person in my Protoss Scout deviation thread thing who asked if (and basically implied that) i ripped it from some blizzard cinematic (which isn't even possible by the way). If this was anywhere but deviant art I would have sent that person through all sorts of verbal hell.
This one took alot longer than the scout cause
1) its bigger
2) its got alot more detail with all its plating and pipes and stuff
3) there are 18 texture maps on it. each with a diffuse and bump map.
4) the scout just used procedural textures.
any other comments welcome as always.

A lot of art and 3d renders make the 'cruisers look like real, physical things. Usually of the right scale.
I think yours is the only one I have seen which managed to make it look tremendously heavy.

aah front view part reminds me of that starcraft broodwars beginning scene where earthies got in the party and left there was nice front view from the battleship
yea probably used screenshots of that as a reference. though most references came from the original starcraft cinematics.
i got wierd problem with installation of starcraft both cd and dvd drives regonize the discs but they dont start reading them like there is something wrong in them like a big scratch although i dont see any flaws in the disc surface
