Fantastical Llamas by Crazy-Dragon Fantastical Llamas by Crazy-Dragon
Fabulous llamas at the Royal this year, it was cute cause I would be looking down at my sketchbook and at times when I looked back up a Llama would be in my face to see if I had food (although looked like they were watching me draw lol)

Waaaaaaaaaah? You were there too? Bologna! I didnt even think you were around toronto. NO ONE is around toronto. I was there with my Sheridan lifedrawing troupe.

Snnnnnnnnnnnnnap! 'Stalked your Tumlbr blog dealie and found a buncha' stuff I'd seen on the walls, most notably that bitchin' cardinal(?) character.

How's second year working out? I'm in first, myself.

Seriously, though. Been absentmindedly following your DA this long, I thought I'dve noticed before.

Second year is the best year, i'm currently in third year now.
I don't blame you for not noticing though, I don't usually post school stuff on dA.
How are you liking the program?

SO far so good, besides the usual artist neuroticies. I really really need to find a balance of challenging but achievable for a lot of these projects.
And then there's lifedrawing.
Is it weird for for Thurman to only have one positive thing to say about my gestures the entire 1st year? that I have cut down on a buncha' lines? Like, at this point the comment would only be applicable if I were drawing the entire figure with a single line.

Sorry for the slow response, I did actually respond awhile back but aparently it didn't go through...
Anyhow, if you are not satisfied with Thurman and his lack of appreciation, you need to be talking to him more and seeking help. Thurman is a highly educated man, and the point of first year is to familiarize yourself with human structure and proper anatomy. After each life drawing session you should take your life drawing pad and just go over it with Thurman, ask him what you need to improve on the most. Once he gives his advice, work at it, go to extra life and work at it some more and check up with him the following week. The sad thing about Sheridan is most of the teachers will baby you along the way and give you easy marks, but easy marks does not teach you anything. Thurman does not give away easy marks, and because of that, you should be trying to suck all the knowledge out of him while you can.
Understandably it can be frustrating but ya just gotta keep at it, maybe do some research into books Thurman recommends etc.

and *I* should actually check my DA more often.
My shit's all over the place. Hardly together at all.
