I say this everytime, but I really dont update this enough.

Its summer again, Digital Celluloid is still alive and thriving, My new webcomic, Beyond Sledman street is nearing its first arcs completion, in which time I will have to take a few weeks off to setup the next one. PoE... oh Points of Experience, you will eventually get launched. problems with site workflow and writing have slowed that comics progress a tad.

The other day I got the notification for domain name and server payment and was all like "Do I still want to do this?" and after a day or 2, I have decided that "Yes." I would still like to draw Points of Experience. I'm sure I'm crazy for doing so, but I have seen other webcomics in progress that have taken longer to launch, some that are still to be launched. I guess that why projects like these are considered labors of love.

Goman Monger comic is still in purgatory sadly, when I'm finished with it, I will definitely post it here, for any who care to read it. Same goes for "Exiled Pilgrims". Its sort of one parts throwing project ideas at the wall and see what sticks, one part my mind's dumb genre interest swapping, and the rest parts Valve time. (Is Half Life 3 announced yet?)

but I suppose I cant complain about work and my art, I've got lots of it to do this year, hopefully the coming year will be a little less hectic... I'm sure I'll be saying that sometime next update.

It's a summer of swirling busy madness! Been trying to get things going but have so much on my plate, that I've thrown on it. Still doing comics, but now I'm writing scenarios for tabeltop rpg's and video review ideas for the youtube channel (crazonstudios). PoE site is still in construction mode after so long and it's driving me insane. I like things to get done but have so many ideas it's hard to finish things.

Digicell is really the only constant success because i have a set schedule outside of work and getting it done. Which is funny when  PoE was the original webcomic i wanted to work on, and I'm still working on the Goman comic (sorry to WARGHOST21 for taking so damn long). I'm just so busy of late.

Well that's it for now.

Big news everyone (And that means the handful of people who watch my art, and I greatly appreciate and respect),

This next few weeks will be pretty tasking in terms of my art work, I have plans for the new year, that will begin on new years. On new years eve, I shall be posting up content for a project I've had on the back burner for some time now. Also if anyone knows a good website to show your web comics on that is affordable if not free, that would be awesome. this project will also be followed by another project I've had on hiatus. That's right, the exiled pilgrims work will be coming back, with a few modification to original plans. I've had a few months to mull over my ideas for that story and now feel I have a decent story arc to help further introduce the Baronen society in there struggle to leave ancient Zalel... and with out doing a heavy exposition dropping portion. rest assured this story arc is going to be very Meck Tavien-centric. both of these comics will be coming out page by page either weekly or bi-weekly, depending on my crazed schedules.

Also some friends and I are going to try to work up a few webisodes involving the review cultist as he reviews Lovecraftian horrors.

On another note, I have received my "Ghost Tales" anthology books where a 15 page comic I created, entitled "A Weekend at 17 Mcrae" is featured. Now I cant start promoting the work locally and maybe make a few bucks to pay for some equipment and such for my future endeavors. The other comics in the anthology are also really cool, ranging from cutesy to creepy to Lovecraftian. I think people who check out my work should check it out. It's done by Gurukitty Studios, an indie comic studio based in British Columbia, Canada.

So that's about it for now, a pretty busy set of weeks if not months ahead.

And rest assured, P.o.E. will be coming, and Digicell issues will be out every week as per usual.

Peace.

Well Halloween is over and now I have to trek through November and December to get to Christmas, (for those of us who are Canadian, we celebrate Thanksgiving in Early to Mid-October). I have been doing a lot of art and comics, particularly pertaining to Halloween and spooky stuff. It's my favorite holiday, next to Christmas and Easter. and I already miss it like a friend I only get to see once a year. It passed me by to quickly and it was mediocre at best this year around, though I really did enjoy the stuff that did happen. I have new ideas and new projects to break up my monotonicity so that's important. all in all a decent existence right now i suppose, can overly complain and if I did, it would be rather ridiculous.

Wow, just wow. I don't update this nearly enough. Well lets see, digicell, though it's been up on this site, has not been uploaded yet for the last two weeks on FilmThreat because I had a number of typos. I guess I was sort of rush and didn't notice them. Grrr, kinda pissed off at myself for that. I guess I need to focus for the series a little more. Been busy with my other projects but that's really no excuse. My business partner and I have been steadily working on the website for our soon to be Web comic Points Of Experience, hope to launch soon (fingers crossed for the last year now). and i have been doing other more multimedia projects all over the place.

Hope to have it out this week and see what is going on, also review cultist has a facebook page for comments and questions involving this webshow. however when I built it, it was under someone Else's login XD So now I have to wait till I get the correct admin to work on it further.

To those who read my original series Exiled Pilgrim...

This week will have a bit of a delay, probably by only a few days: 2 at most. this last two weeks have been busy, we have new puppies here, so they are a handful and haven't had a lot of drawing time until recently. As such my pile of Exile Pilgrims pages got smaller till i had nothing and have to draw up some. So will have them up soon and sorry to those who read it every Tuesday.

Happy Holidays to all! What holidays are left anyway. New Years is upon us and this upcoming year holds good news for PoE, the web comic some friends and I have spent the last year prepping, the major draw back is the website, my programmer says we can expect the site in either the 1st and 2nd quarter of this year so at least that is good news. Digital Celluloid is on its 27th issue, which i still love doing it.

Will be posting other pieces of work this year, from my scifi universe and maybe from my fantasy universe.

Time will tell.

Going to be pretty cool and busy. the web comic for filmthreat.com is called digital celluloid and is about making fun of movies. No film is Safe!!!

well i went early and picked up my mass effect 2 collectors addition the other day... and have been glued to my tv for the last two days. i beat the game once through with all the mission and side stories as i could find and wished to complete and it came to about 25 hours of gameplay. greatest thing bought this game, you can keep going after ward, something from the old game i didn't like too much. great story, fantastic visuals though some of the end game mission cinematic stuff clipped or lagged some in moments of high intesity. im pissed that liara is not on your team in this game but atleast theres a chance for her in the third piece. it sortof ended shorter than i thought, shows me for looking at concept work and thinking i'd be doing more at the end game missions, still a satisfactory game. and the final cinematic shot is absolutely menacing and epic at the same time. loved it. and that music for the launch trailer still gets me pump after finishing my first run through.

definitly shows its (the game) lovecraft inspiration with reapers, more so than the first. and now i need for another few years for ME3, hopefully we'll get some amazing expansion stuff.

peace.

This is a short recap of my semester thus far:
Some really awesome projects, some mediocre projects, some gaming time with friends that was kool, an excessive amount of stressful staying up to the wee hours of the morning to get shit done times. this latter could be the formula for my current pain racking cold. i am very tired and very sick at the moment and am glad its Friday.

tis about it. only a month to go so i hope it goes by smoother than the last few days.

The High:
ANIME NORTH FUCKING ROCKED!
lol greatest year yet for me, i loved the costumes and dancing that went on and i gathered many a swag from the dealers room. though not many people new my character or atleast didn't say who i was. ( the only B.J. "Joe Buttataki from soul eater" there!)but i did get 4 people who openly knew who i was portraying and about 2 photos taken of me alone. Huzzat! for a first time costumer and using a minor supporting character no less i'd say it was pretty good. Also met some awesome folks there and got to see old friends as the ghostbusters XD.

TERMINATOR SALVATION WAS... kool? lol
it was... ok Cg for the most part was well done and the acting amazing, but the film had a ton of subplots with individual characters and seemed to have John Connor as the observer in the first two acts. then by the end there were a lot of action and exposition to be had as well as Arnold for maybe five minutes before he became just another T-800 model hell bent on killing Connor. it was OK story wise but there were things i think could have been done better.

The Lows:
My Dog died on Monday T_T
As great as the weekend was for me it was back to reality on Sunday night, harsh cold reality. my dog was diagnosed 5 months ago with a large tumor and wasn't expected to survive after Christmas. We had 5 extra months with her and i think it was a great 5 months for her. sadly however her energetic self was slowed to a shadow of it a week ago. after consultation we decided it best to not let her suffer anymore than she had to on Monday morning. it was hard but i said my good byes before i went to work that day. i t just isn't the same with out her now, the house feels lonely with out a dog to come to the door and greet me. io think i probably fair the best out of us here but it is really hard to think back on her life with a smear of sorrow. but i have no regrets, she wasn't getting any better and she lived a great if not pampered life XD. so here's to you Rosie rest easy and have fun among the spirits.

The week has gone by fairly well, with little incident, I've been juiced up as of late with inspiration for the Vuodec series, (my Cthulhu inspired stories" and the Elmiraka star saga sci-fi story. I have been following blended approach, combining some fantasy elements to give more lore to the peoples residing in the Elmiraka star cluster.

I have also had to grande visions for to pieces of lore in the series. the first is for background story for Tyko Maiko, the primary human character in the story, and a new technology that will help add more of a sci-fi edge to the colonization department of the series.

sadly I did commit sin this week by watching twilight, I know I know, I shouldn't have, but after watching several comedic rips into the movie, I thought I'd follow up by actually sitting down and giving the film a chance to change my view of it... and i was unsurprisingly dissapointed. the film had maybe 25 percent good points, mainly just some line that Edward or someone other than Bella said. but the rest of this film confused, irritated, and made me laugh at because of how horrible the scenes were laying out.

The plot lacked a great deal of developement and the actress playing bella or maybe just the character of bella had a very awkward monotone "emo" sound to her regardless of what the narrative or even the feel of a scene would suggest.

And the lore, i give the author and filmmakers merit for going in a different direction with vampires but really. SNAKEPIRES! that glitter in the sun! WHY?

Gah!

And this movie was very "NON" subtle about mentioning that an entire reserve of aboriginals are Werewolves, seriously, that native kid is more of a captain exposition than Captain Keyes was in Halo. You'd think the reserve would be hunted down by how they keep mentioning it to people. and i love how Bella doesn't think of this when she finds out that the Cullans are vampires and that kid told him the history of the truce between the two groups! god how dense that girl is.

I guess this film is so painful to myself and others because it was based on a teen girl fantasy novel. Being a guy i guess i cant get why this film and the books that came before it are so popular, because i cant think the same as a angsty teen female. I don't intend to read the novels because my sister (an angsty teen female) ruined it by crying and weeping as she READ the the book. nd not just her this disease has spread to every female in my family between the ages of 10 - 60.

I just find that scary.

Any way that's about it for the week and life thus far, crazy story ideas, drawings and a scary teen fantasy movie.

Well, its Saint Patrick's day, you know what that means? BEER! GREEN! and IRELAND! lol, I am part Irish though I don't often take much interest in this holiday that isn't a holiday except in Ireland. but today i decided to look up the origins and found some interesting things about the holiday, like how the original color for it was blue and that protestants wear orange in defiance XD that is ridiculous but you know what I'll respect them for clinging to a religious belief for so long, one that started because a guy named Saint Patrick taught pre-christian Irish folk the meaning of the holy trinity through a shamrock (three leaf clover) I was also interested to find out that the whole holiday activity stuff for the most part is fairly new, start back in the early 90's to promote Irish culture.

I mean the pubs were actually closed on this day till 1970 and people are always associating the holiday with beer? lol lot of strange things come out of celebrating a holiday I guess.

anyway that my blurb on saint patty's i'll prolly do some more art today with some influence to SP, maybe even get myself a beer to comemorate the day.

LOL i looked for green in my wardrobe today and made the discovery that all i possess is blue black and white. For someone who claims to have green as there favourite color i feel sort of dumb not having anything green to wear. thank the spirit folk i wear a green jade ring around my neck all the time XD, looks like im saved from pinches this day!

so im now entering the business world with the creation of my company "Crazon Studios" (i hope that'll be the name any way.) got a few emails back from an employer wishing me to have my own company and i've been thinking about this for a while. im alittle nervous and queezy about getting catapulted into the great big land of companies and business. my laid back self doesn't cope quickly to this sorta change, BUT i am excited about have my own buisness name and some new cash flow. i figured this day was coming, i only saw walmart as a stepping stone, but its wierd to be doing more than just walmart work and school, atleast for the most part i'll be doing something fun and ...not easy but manageable i think is the word.

new year with new avenues.

for those who dont know me well , i think far to much, im constantly creating new characters scenarios, and events and lands in my mind, when i sleep is the busy time. it's great for inspiration, though it gets to be a handful at times. to compensate for my flood of ideas, i created a scifi series called the elmiraka star saga which explored the events of a coalition of races from the same star system as they wage a defensive war against aggressive races. i also created a fantasy series called the chronicles of dracorna, which intoduced several near celestial beings living on a mortal world filled with magic and monsters and having to protect it from ancient forces of evil. there is much more to it then that but then this would likely be several pages worth of text XD

watching several scifi shows fromseveral varying countries it has occured to me that there are distinct difference and patterns between scifi genres around the world.

America's - exploration, settling, expansion

Europe - time travel, space travel as a normal everyday thing, quirky humanoid aliens

Asia - giant monsters, giant robots and mechs, technology melding into humanity

Australia - spirituality, cultural differences

Africa - racial subjects, fighting racism

the only main connection i see to world scifi is war but thats to be expected from a violent species like us. XD
