It was an unusually cool morning. The toa awoke from his sleep, turning to look at his mate who was still asleep next to him. He turned, looking to where his sons slept peacefully in a pile. Carefully he slipped out of their tent, trying not to wake anyone. The air outside was still, almost unnaturally so. Looking around, there was no signs of life. This worried the toa greatly. Just as he was about to go back inside and wake his mate the ground began to tremble. Glancing back at the entrance to the tent, he saw the familiar head of his mate poke out of the flap. “Tungsten? Riding the high from his wrestling victory, Bori was determined to win someone’s attention. Prizes were great and all, but new lovers were even better. He heard about a race that anyone could enter. It was not every day that a new zone just seemed to materialize from thin air. Naturally the merchant had to check it out. Perhaps there would be new resources he could sell or locals he could convince to buy some of his wares. As he trotted around looking for somewhere to set up shop he noticed a commotion. There was lots of cheering and shouting coming from a slightly darkened building. Curious, the bald toa made his way over, peaking his head inside. It was dark, loud, and had a strange aroma. The crowd was gathered in more or less of a circle. Carefully he slunk through, muttering an excuse me every once in awhile. There was what appeared to be a…race track? It was small though, certainly not one for ketucari. Bismuth squinted as he looked at it, trying to figure out what exactly was going on. A finned toa was walking around the edge of the track, collecting money. “Place your bets now folks! Who do you think will win?” A kadin next to him held out three gold pieces. “Three gold

When they were told there were air tours, they did not think there would be so many options to choose from. An excited kadin was rattling off all the options. “There’s these gliders. That’s more of a self guided tour. You want to get a running start and then you jump off this here ledge. It’s a pretty far drop but the wind should gently carry you down to the bottom. You get a lovely view and most say the breeze feels quite nice as it cuts through your feathers.” Tungsten quickly shook his head. The idea of more or less free falling from up so high made his stomach turn. “Do you have something more….controlled?” he asked, pawing nervously at the ground. The kadin nodded her head rapidly. “Well we have wing suits. They’re similar to the gliders but attach to your front paws. You control them with your movements. Real gentle, no need to flap. You can definitely still feel that breeze. They’re good if you ever wanted to know what it feels like to fly.” He could feel his stomach flip

This new land was strange. When the pair had heard rumors of a mysterious poison fog lifting they just had to explore the new lands. Upon arrival, they spoke with one of the strange, different looking kadins. She was friendly and gave them information on this new land. She advised them to speak to the domain guardian if they wanted to learn more. They set off to find the guardian, hoping they were not as hostile as some of the other zone’s guardians. Solfrid was used to exploring different zones and meeting different creatures. Still, there was something about this particular zone that felt new and exciting. Perhaps it was because it had yet to be explored by anyone outside of it. Perhaps it was the magical aura that seemed to come with it. There were new creatures to see. New flora and new faces. As the wind ruffled through his silkie feathers, the toa’s heart beat loudly in his chest. It had been quite some time since he had gone on anything even closely resembling a date. He had children now which definitely complicated things. He had, more or less, removed himself from the market to focus on raising them. It had been going pretty well. That was, until he had met the blue ryno female. She made him realize that perhaps something was missing from his life after all. His heart skipped a beat in his chest and his breath caught in his throat as he looked at her. the wind was ruffling through her frill, causing it to sway gently in the breeze. Her pelt seemed to radiate light even though the sun was beginning to dip down below the horizon. It was a crisp, cold morning. A gentle breeze ruffled through the silkie toa’s feathers as he padded through the snow. He puffed them out slightly, signing in relief as they trapped the heat against his body. The snowfields could be harsh, so he was thankful his silkie feathers kept him warm. It was also helpful that his white feathers blended in so well with the barren, snow covered landscape. He wasn’t really looking for much. Sithis giggled silently. The young fantail Toa was already drunk or at least acting like it. With his last flesh and bone consistent limb he pushed the door to the next bar on the street open. He stumbled ever so lightly as he made his way over to the counter. Prosthetic limbs clicking against the ground below, but the sound was drowned out by the noises generated by the other patrons. It looked like it was going to be another busy night. He was hoping it would at least be a quiet one. Grabbing a rag, he began wiping down the counter. A small ding from the door bell caused him to momentarily lift his gaze from his task, cocking his head to the side curiously at the interesting character who had just entered. There was something slightly off about this newcomer, though he could not quite place it.

The moon sat high in the sky, its light cutting through the clouds, causing patches of light to dance on the rocky hillside.
