Six years ago, during summer vacation, my older sister introduced me to DeviantArt. She told me it was a site where people share their art and creations with the world. She helped me set up my account. I named this account after one of my stuffed animals; a crocodile that I had named "Craig". The first deviations I ever posted were some Zelda mosaics I made out of Lego bricks.
Over time, they became showered with
s. Then, I started uploading some drawings I made in my middle school year.
These slowly gained a few
s, but were not quite as popular as the Lego creations. I had a minor recognition among the Zelda fandom. I had only a small number of watchers. Enjoying my time on the site, I uploaded more and more stuff, from drawings to Lego creations.
<--(This is/was one of my most popular deviations.)I made a few friends on DA like velbliss. One day, while I was asking for ideas on what to draw, she suggested I draw myself as a crocodile. Thus, on February 11, 2011, the Craig T. Crocodile we know today was born.
He appeared in my gallery quite a few times, along with some other OCs that have come and gone.
On January 15, 2012, a user had called this picture crap:

I had a bit of a verbal fight with him and ended up blocking him. Though, looking back at this, I probably reacted to his "criticism" the wrong way.
Outside of DA, I took some art classes in my high school year. My drawing skills had somewhat improved because of it.
Somehow, around that same year, I became less active on DA than before. I didn't upload more stuff until around October that year.
2013 was when I was the least active. I only uploaded 4 deviations that year. This was also the year I announced my first fan fiction: a crossover between Legend of Zelda and Sonic the Hedgehog.
I didn't write the actual story until almost a year later.
Link and Sonic: When Worlds Collide Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Link and Sonic "Aaaaaaaa!" screamed Sonic as he fell from the sky. He landed with a SPLAT!. Sonic got up and shook his head. "Where am I?" he wondered as he looked around. Then he saw something in the distance: a swordsman in green clothes fighting two monsters attacking him. A person! , he thought. Maybe he can help me! After the two monsters were defeated, Sonic got up and ran towards the swordsman. "Excuse me, sir!" Sonic shouted, "Could you tell me--" Before he could finish, the stranger swiftly drew his sword at him. Sonic stopped dead in his tracks, with a large blade ...
Being my first written fan fiction, the story wasn't as popular as I hoped. However, I gained three watchers that year after not getting any for two years. I made illustrations for the story, which turned out to be more popular than the actual story itself.
During that same year, 2014, I discovered DA Muro. I used it to remaster some of my previous drawings.

In 2015, my career on DeviantArt changed. I uploaded some drawings I did of the emotions from "Inside Out". They were instantly greeted with
s. During December of that year, I did a series of the emotions celebrating Christmas. Those too were showered with s and comments.
From there, my recognition on DeviantArt was slowly coming back to me. Between January and February of 2016, I drew the "Emotions at Disneyland" series. They became the most popular drawings I made.
I became more well-known on this site than ever before. I got to know more people and made new friends. My number of watchers had greatly increased. I met people like JackHammer86, frillythingy, Perfumedoll, ChoonLasty-Ghost, and Imagi77.
I tried to regain some attention in the Zelda community with some more Zelda art, but they weren't as popular as my Inside Out stuff.
On March 28, 2016, I made this drawing of Leeanix's character Scary Fear because I thought he looked so cool.
She of course loved it and added it to the Inside-Out-Villains group.
But three days later, one of my new watchers, Dogefoge had asked me about my drawing for Leeanix. He told me that the members of that group were "monsters". Naturally, I asked him why. Then, Leeanix and her friends from the group came in and told me their side of the story. A flame war took place on my profile, and I was convinced to block Dogefoge. I lost a watcher, but gained many more new friends, including Leeanix herself, Gamma-Wings, Jokerforever303, and Mustache-Twirler.
I started getting a lot more comments on my stuff after the incident.
I made plans for another crossover story. This time, it was between Legend of Zelda and Inside Out. I created a villain for my story named The Unfeeling.
My new friends liked my character so much that he joined the ranks of their group.
<da:thumb id="605603167"/>I started trying new things with my art, such as combining traditional and digital art.
I also started doing collaborations. My first collab was with frillythingy. We ended up doing two at the same time. I drew the sketch for the drawings, and she digitally inked and colored them.
This showed me how much better my art could look if it were in digital form.
On April 21, 2016, Leeanix gave me something that I wanted to have ever since I started: a Core Membership. I went nuts with it, and completely redecorated my profile. I later decided to extend my membership.
I started my crossover story on May 14, 2016
The Legend of Zelda: Inside Out (Chapter 1)
Chapter 1: The Sword of Emotion Link, a young boy dressed in a green tunic, was on his way to Hyrule Castle. Princess Zelda had invited him to come to the castle. As far as Link knew, she wanted to show him something special.On occasions, Link would hear little voices in his head. Only he could hear them, and they would blurt out his thoughts. I wonder what Zelda wanted to show us? A cheery, joyful voice said. Whatever it is, came a sarcastic-sounding voice, it better be worth our time. Zelda's always worth our time! the cheery voice said. I'm not so sure about this, came a worried voice. Talking with the princess is so nerv...
Since I had more active watchers and commenters this time, the story was successful. Illustrations for the story also came, and they were popular, too.
On July 12, 2016, I started taking point commissions on DA. My first commission was for MasterBlasterMax40.
And now, to celebrate my sixth year on DA, I've gone back to some of my older drawings and am redrawing them now to show how much has changed.

It has officially been six years since I started using this site, and only now have I gained such recognition. My art has changed so much over that much time, and it shall continue to improve with your support. I am reaching to major in Visual Arts, as I hope to get a career in the art department.
