The Birds and The Bees!
What with Valentine’s day just around the corner I thought I’d take advantage of that and have a little holiday spirit; albeit extremely early. XD But I don’t care. My room is already decorated with red hearts and pink flowers! And I’ve been adoring my collection of red polishes this winter (though there is no red in this manicure) and have been thinking of what to do for the holiday. This idea popped into my mind and I thought I’d use it for my ABC Challenge.
This manicure is cute, but not how I envisioned so I’m a little bummed. Stupid me and my impulses. I had originally planned to give the bees a light blue base and the birds a pink base but I recently picked this glittery, holographic, gold loveliness known as Angel Wings by China Glaze from Sally’s for $4 and my original plans jumped out the window. I thought it was such a good idea to have this gold as a background. Little did I realize (not until after I’d painted them and started the stamping) that I’d sort of lost the “Valentine’s Day” theme I had planned. Still a cute representation of the theme, though.
To show off the holographic of this polish, I purposefully left part of the image blurry. Look at those colors! So beautiful!!! I'm really trying to build my holopgraphic collection and Angel Wingss is a great addition. It is a matte (reminiscent of the new Mariah Carey OPI liquid sand collection) with an odd, sandy texture, so it is in desperate need of a shiny topcoat. But with 2 coats of Seche Vite I'm very happy.
And as you can tell, I'm loving these bees!!!
I hope you enjoy!!!
