Who tracks our footsteps, I wonder?
We who are the forgotten, the discounted and the ignored.
When the path is failure, it is never willingly taken.
Why does my heart weep for them?
Not them but us, for most assuredly I am counted among them.
Slaves, serfs, nameless peasants and labourers,
the blurred faces in the crowd—just a smear on memory, a scuffing of feet down the side passages of history."

Outstanding work. All your portraits have these expressions that really suit the characters' stories, but Udinaas especially is one I always thought was hard to capture. You did a stellar job; thanks for sharing!
I think Udinass was between young and old. here. This is a fantastic illustration Corporal-Nobbs always seems to capture the hard-life character and does it extremely well. (Though I have a huge soft spot for his advent calendar reunioun with Crokus and Apsalar.. That scene I the book slays me, and h bow down to Corporal-Nobbs for rendering it so simply, beautifully, znd emotionally).
