Grad school is bringing me down...I'm starting to question the moves that I've made.  If you want something that I've done let me know and we can make a deal "steal" of a life time. I've got too much work and no idea what to do with it...

I found out a few months ago I was going to be featured in a national watercolor magazine. Here is some info about it:

A gallery of work from the 10 artists that don't appear in the magazine

If you'd like to order a copy and there is a video at the bottom

It's pretty exciting

My teacher said my previous journal entry was unprofessional, therefore I am changing it.

I sold "Whirlpool," re-titled "Maelstrom" and Radford University bought "Set Apart" last week.  The book that is using one of my paintings for the cover should be published next month.  The art magazine that is featuring my work should come out in the next month or so.

Hopefully the rest of the year will be as good to me as it has been.

Well the winter break came and went too quickly and its time to start back to school.  My schedule is kinda relaxed but I have two Art Appreciation classes with 116 college undergrads to teach.  Hopefully I can crank out a lot of quality work and get accepted to the exhibitions I applied to.

I added some of the better stuff I've done this semester...sorry there isn't a lot, I've been busy teaching art appreciation to about 120 college freshen.

I have a couple of shows in January and will be a featured artist in a magazine from my home town in the spring. Things are starting to look upwards

Many more to go.

The semester ended last week and it's a heavy load off my back, even though next semester will be just as difficult if not more. All I know is that I'm am enjoying the month long break.  I will update the rest of the work from the end of the semester when I get back to Virginia.

Happy holidays to all

Well, after trying to make it as a semi professional artist in Texas, I have decided that returning to school is a good idea.  I moved to Virginia to pursue a masters in fine arts. I will be working with an amazing artist(ZL Feng), assisting him in the class room and office.  Hopefully I will start to crank out new work at the rate I used to...

Get ready Radford University because I am here to kick ass.

So I have been painting more lately now that I'm unemployed... but I do go to the local farmers market in San Marcos to peddle my wares every Saturday .  Sold two new small paintings last week but only got a photo of one.  The other was a Texas inspired piece.  So more posts shall be coming soon.

So, yeah...if you haven't noticed I haven't been posting stuff for months now(or painting), but hopefully that's over now.  I graduated, moved and was just enjoying the summer.  I now have a work space at home and started painting again.  Hopefully I can produce as much as I used to but now that I have a job...time will tell

yep, i graduated from college this december after only six and a half years for a studio art degree in watercolor.  I'll be trying to get into a grad school with a respectable program for painting, so i should still be painting in the future.

have a happy holiday season(or whatever you believe in) and good luck to you all in '09
