Fatigue
Fatigue,
crushed,
shattered,
flattened,
dead,
these words
could replace that word
I use of often....
But I didn't know
there were layers to it
it feels like I've forgotten
how to rest
how to truly switch off
how to truly be at ease
how to be loose
the age has hit me
like a killer in the night
and this lack of
an off switch
is taking it's toll.
I didn't know there
were these layers of tired
I thought I'd be fatigued
even slightly
but this
it's close to being done
compared to what I've done
in the times before
it's not end of chapter
it's not there's another book
it's cancelled without notice
no plans for a future
the hard brutal death
with a simple full stop.
