Highly impressive, both for the learning employed expertly, the painterly skill at display, and the very colourful results. I can think of no better gateway to acquaintance oneself more with Pre-Colombian tropical America.

This is an intoxicating gallery, so to speak, which leaves a thirst for knowing more of all the myriad cultures. I've personally found some few design features of tropical American cultures (both Pre- and Post-Colombian) to be a bit hard to swallow, outside the own taste spectrum in some regards. Given this, I'm particularly amazed at how well you have taken these designs, and run all the way with them, presenting them so tastefully and true that I'm instantly sold at seeing these depictions. I've viewed many, many artistic depictions of historical cultures from this region, and they usually leave me aesthetically sated after a while. Yours, however, leave me wanting more. Thank you so much for this labour of love of yours! The results are spectacular, and highly inspiring.

As someone interested in both history and fantasy, I've long since found that sticking rather close to the intricate designs of historical cultures, tends to be so much more fruitful and strikingly exotic (and cool, to use the slang term) when cooking up fantasy concepts, than inventing styles from scratch or regurgitating watered-down generic themes. Go for the source, so to say, and pick up the use (tweaked or not) of designs which many creative hands and minds through human history laboured to come up with, and which master artists such as yourself have laboured to bring back to life in stunning depictions.

By the way, I came across your artworks when searching for reference pictures for this new Warhammer-esque ( i.imgur.com/dlmQkB6.jpg ) historically based fantasy concept: www.the-ninth-age.com/index.ph…

Kind regards

Thanks a lot for your kind words.

Such words are the ones that give me the motivation to keep working. I couldn't describe better what the purpose of my pictures is. What you say also means a lot to me because it comes from a great artist. The line of your characters is very professional. I am now one of your watchers.

I have been fascinated by Pre-Columbian cultures since I was a child. I'm in her spell, so to speak. I wished I could paint more, but teaching take a lot of time. For me, these are the greatest cultures that have ever existed, and I'm glad when they inspire others.

A mighty spell indeed. Keep up the good work! You're doing these colourful cultures full justice in vivid detail, better than any other artist living or dead that I've ever come across.

Thank you kindly. That is much appreciated!

His work is great. I already know his paintings. The style is similar, the difference might be that my point of view is one of an anthropologist.
Thank you for this great comment!!!
