- Woodcut Triptych - by coreymill - Woodcut Triptych - by coreymill
= Full View =

- This is the only print that I did on all three of my woodcuts I made for my intro printmaking class. So I was glad that it turned out well because it was the only piece of paper I had that was big enough >__>

- - I had a lot of fun carving these out of the blocks ^~^ It was definitely my favorite project from the class.

Hope you like it, and as always it looks better in person than a photo : (

The print is 42x19 inches (each block is 12x12)

Thanks, they were made with a small really cheap set of plastic handled tools that I bought for a printmaking class. I don't know what the brand was, they were made in japan and only english words on them were SuperGrip I think. I did some google searching, but couldn't find them anywhere.

That looks lovely! I love the cut panels and yet the transition to each one with the flow of the hair:)

I think the spacing out of the characters works exceptionally well too :)

Very nice! I love the solid wood-block effect, makes me wish I tried printing in college. That guy with glasses is especially cute.

Oh man... this looks really nice.

The only one I saw in person was the middle one, so I didn't realize it was going to be a three piece print.

Thank you.

- And it's technically not coloring. I carved the design out of wood and then rolled ink onto the wood and printed it onto paper kinda like a stamp :D

If you really wanted to, you actually could still try making one sometime. You don't need to soak the paper and you can hand print them as well.

- You would just need to invest in some ink, cutting tools, wood, and paper >__> . . .
