Once again, not really sure that this deserves to be in my gallery as apposed to scraps. But I shall put it here for now.

- This is actually quite an old sketch that I did at work last summer, just never really got around to doing anything with it ^^;

You did this at work LAST year? XD

At least you finished it and turned it into a creative idea.

(The title was a nice touch)

Wow. Really great. It must have been really easy for you. For me...to draw that angle...with perfection like yours...lol...I can honestly welcome you to my impossible world. Really great art work! Keep up the good work. It's amazing.

Yeah, I kinda like it too . . . which is kind of depressing. I don't want to like something I drew almost a year ago T^T

well, it's okay to like certain parts of it. maybe you like the colors? donno, either way it's okay as long as you dont think it's the best thing you've ever done.

i know you probably used airbrushes and watercolors, but what filters went into play here? or blending options?

Hmm . . . Well I just colored with the default round brush in PS.

- All of the flat colors are normal layers. I think I took down the opacity on some of them so they would fall into the background more. And then the texture overlay is on the multiply blending mode. However, I did mask out the skin areas to help bring them out.

- - The final "lighting" thing I did was to flatten the image and then duplicate it so I had another copy. I then played with the levels to brighten it up a little bit and then masked in the spot light like area around him to bring him out a bit more.

ah. so you did a lot of layer masking, put everything on multiply, and then messed around with levels?

Well, I wouldn't say I did a lot of masking, only twice to help bring out the character. And I only used multiply on the layer that had the scratchy texture in it. ^^

How is it that you can make a hobo look so cool? XD The ones around here are usually walking down the main streets with those "Please help me" signs.
