Mercury’s Point of view
Mercury had been running non-stop for miles. Her hooves were starting to ache after she left the cold hard asphalt and set her hooves onto the lush green grass of a nearby farm. There was a fence nearby, she could feel it in the air. Like a barrier stopping anything from getting across, well except for birds and squirrels at least. She stopped to rest for a bit. Her entire body felt like collapsing to the ground, she was incredibly tired out. The mare let out a snort of relief as she let out the tension she held. Relax Mer, relax... The mare shook out her mane, once again she felt entirely sore all over.
A lone howl sounded in the woods. A hungry creature was nearby, either that, or it wanted to be found out. The mare took no notice of the noise and closed her eyes blundering into sleep. While she lay dormant the creature crept closer. No street—or uhm Woods Smarts did the mare have, not knowing she was directly in the path of her pursuer, the mare was a sitting duck.
The predator eyed its prey. However its hunger for food caused it to act reckless. It snapped a twig. A head flew up with silvery hair flying about, the mare stood up in a mad frenzy trying to get a hold of what was going on around her. Something’s here.. the mare gulped down the thought of herself being chased down and eaten. Not being able to take the anxiety anymore the mare turned and ran. No matter did the mare care she was heading straight towards a fence, with the monster behind her all she cared about was getting as far away as possible. The mare made a jump—a not very good jump over the fence. She cringed as her hooves collided with the wooden barrier, it had an unnatural ring to it, something she felt she would never get used to. Turning to look back in search of what had been chasing her, she found nothing.

Predator’s Point of View
Just… so.. it thought as it was nearing its prey. It licked its lips at the thought of having dinner that night. It would be so good. Its eyes intent on the horse that lay in front of him. Ribs could be seen poking out of its fur, a sure sign of emaciation from starvation. Its hunger drove it on. Forgetting all those years of skill and strategy the creature had learned the times when he was younger. Could I even take down a horse..? The creature was uncertain for a second, it shook its head. A moment’s hesitation could lead to another night without food in his belly. The sudden movement caused the creature to sway, and in turn it stepped on a dry twig, causing a good loud Snap! It scowled at his own stupidity, but when he looked for his soon-to-be dinner, it was gone. Dashing off towards the fence. He gasped, and sprang into a chase after it, but he was too late. The horse had jumped the fence, and was on the other side. The creature skidded to a stop, he wouldn’t dare tread on their territory, it was full of two-legged monsters that carried sticks made of fire, and they would run fast—or some of them at least. Tail swaying in dismay the creature turned and fled the area, disappointment residing into the empty part of its stomach, where his food should’ve been.

Katyrn’s Point Of View
She couldn’t believe her eyes. A horse, did it just willingly jumped into a paddock?
“Hey, Theia, did you… see that?”
“..I’m gonna say no.”
“But.. you couldn’t have missed that..” Katyrn stammered “That horse just jumped into our paddock,”
“It did?” Theia was puzzled.
“Pfft, yeah it did! What did you think, it flew into the paddock?” Katyrn made a face, as if she had just heard something delirious.
“Well no but, still,”
“What are you waiting for? I wanna check it out!”
“But…” Theia was tired from training with her two horses that day, her neck was sore from dressage work, and Mimi had dragged her through the mud again.
“Fine, I’ll go myself,” Katyrn picked herself up from the table and out she went through the front door. Carefully treading towards the paddock—she was always cautious around new horses, she planted herself at the paddock fence. The horse it held threw a surprised glare at Katyrn and made an attempt to bite, while backing off to the end of the fenced in area. Katyrn held her hands up as if saying Woah there buddy she settled herself against the fence again, leaning back slightly to give the mare some space, obviously the horse was not a previously owned horse, nor did she seem like a feral one, completely independent of humans. Yet it was eerily calm with a human presence. Katyrn fingered inside her coat pocket and pulled out one of her left over horse biscuits and held it out to the mare. Graciously, yet annoyingly hesitant the mare finally took the food from Katyrn’s hand and began to munch on it soundlessly, seeming quite content. Katyrn took this time to pet the mare right where the whorl was on her face. “Y’know buddy, I think this may be the start of a pretty good friendship…”

Woo this was fun (ish, if you mean by dying halfway and having yourself dragged towards your computer to finish it) Overall time: (estimated) 3 hours on picture, 1 hour on writing (boy did that writing feel forced) overall time: 4 hours :D and a million more hours of typos to come!

by the way, I didnt exactly say what the predator was (most commonly people would say: Wolf, but saying It, or creature works for me, makes you not know what it is xD )
