Description
A small stone fragment of unknown origin with obvious occult affiliation. It is a deep green in color, cold to the touch, with a smooth highly polished surface worn around the edges and broken into two pieces. The scrapes and gouges in the stone and the surfaces along the breaks are smooth as well, suggesting it may have been in contact with running water for a long period of time, likely submerged. The assembled piece measures approximately 2" x 2".
The sigil consists of what appears to be a 5-armed, 3 eyed starfish-like creature (or creature's head...?) passing through a thick circular boundary, forming an inverted pentacle. The figure transcending the bounds of the circle may be interpreted as a depiction of the entity phasing from one realm into another. This implies it may have been used as part of a most sinister summoning ritual.
The imagery shares features associated with the Elder Sign (an upright pentagram-like symbol of protection from the Old Ones) and descriptions of the Black Goat of the Woods (also affiliated with/known as Shub-Niggurath). It also bears resemblance to the Sigil of Baphomet suggesting it may be of more modern origin, likely from an underground new age cult of amalgamated ideology centered around the worship of an entity sharing attributes of the more traditional Satan and the unwholesome and perverse Black Goat. One shudders to think where this may be going on...

This was made last night... started out as a small practice piece during a short break from a much larger statue I am currently working on (actually a piece cut from the same soapstone). Got into it and ended up making it a finished piece. Been wanting to make a starfish creature pentacle for a while and went from a couple Shub-Niggurath concept sketches I was working on a few weeks ago that looked good enough to carve. May offer this original piece as a one-off in a display case if there is any interest. I plan on carving more similar things (proper Elder Signs as well) and offering cast pendants of them when there is time.
General consensus among those who have seen it so far is that it is simply and perfectly "bad ass". Ha ha.

This is awesome. I am looking for something similar for the final prop in my CoC game, however this isn't on your etsy page. Do you still have it?
