The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel may be a masterpiece of pure comedy as I have not seen on TV for a decade. There may not be anything out there that shows such reverence for the art, the mechanisms and the history of comedy. It may not be unreasonable to glimpse a bit of Billy Wilder in the precision in the writing and the delivery of the dialogues. Maybe the only thing that keeps me from putting it at the absolute top of the Palladino canon is my emotional connection with those Stars Hollow girls. Maybe.
But let's be honest, its opening logo is shit and mine is better.
