There are myriads of journals delving into what this place has become and how something that was once a home to artists on all levels and from all backgrounds has grown alien and unwelcoming to the very same artists. At least half of these journals were written by people far more eloquent than I could ever be, so I will spare you the sob story here.
I spent half of my life on this platform. Thank you for 15 wonderful years. Thank you for everyone who helped me become the artist I now am.
I will continue to exist and create art, but not here. Creativity flourishes elsewhere and so will I. You can find me on tumblr, bluesky or mastodon. I will keep posting my free art resources on ko-fi.
I do not plan to delete older uploads as of now as I don't see the need. For all future uploads, well, my profile shall become a dull, lifeless husk like deviantart itself.
