Artists
  • Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema
    A fabulous artist known for his greek and egypt slice-of-life images, however he did do contemporary images as well (he's late 1800s). Check out both pages and google more of his work. This collection is a little portrait-centric, but he has quite the beautiful technique for environments with light, color and material.


  • Edward Mitchell Bannister
    A great artist from the turn of the century. His oil works are a bit impressionistic, very romantic, but striking in their color and light. It's a little harder to find his work, but there are some real gems. Particularly this one and this one.


  • David Farquaharson
    - Has excellent color use.


  • Carlos de Haes
    - Has beautiful, robust colors and lighting.
