Starting to experiment with Iray. After working with Reality and Luxrender for so long, it's going to take a while to get comfortable. So far, I have mixed feelings. The newer Daz models that are optimized for Iray look good when rendered in that engine. And there's less surface adjustments to make with Iray; with Reality, I had to make adjustments to virtually every surface in the scene to get the results I wanted. On the other hand, what I really miss is the flexibility of Reality and Luxrender during the render process; the ability to adjust lighting and color temperature on the fly. And particularly the freedom to be composing another scene while one is rendering in Luxrender. I notice too that Iray seems to put a bigger load on my computer processor than Luxrender did. However, I suppose I can get used to those things.
