Rules

I hate rules but it seems in some cases they prevent comunity problems so...

Photo submission
Please submit no more than one photo per concert to the "Submission" group gallery, the best of your set. If watchers love it, they will jump onto your gallery and fave everything else. To prevent members from submitting their whole account at once, the "one submission per day" limit has also been added to the group.

Photo approval
Not every photo submitted will be shown in the gallery because the group motto is "quality, not quantity". Common reasons for submission reject are: motion blur, focus blur, too much dark or light (but silhouettes are welcome), ugly backgrounds, bad facial experssions, bad composition, extreme noise, lack of sharpening etc. In order to let watchers and members appreciate artists the group supports, no more than 10 submissions per day will be approved.

If your photo was rejected, have a look at the Featured gallery concert-photography.deviantart… take inspiration and then try again, you're more than welcome!

Finally
Have a look at the group blog for more information and activity updates! concert-photography.deviantart…
... to be accepted or denied?

Ask to members submitting their whole account to the group instead of no more than one per concert :)

Slight update to group rules, read here concert-photography.deviantart…

Hi folks! I just joined this group.

I'm an amateur photographer living in Geneva, Switzerland, shooting mostly metal and progressive rock shows in the area.

Looking forward to share some of my shots (published under Creative Commons).

Hi Styuvee!
Indoor shots can be tough! With f3.0 if you can, try to keep it as open as possible. Remember too, your focal length is the minimum speed you can shoot without blur. So if you're at 100 mm, 1/100 sec is slowest speed you can use. Also, don't be afraid to bump your iso up if you need to. Yes, it will increase noise, but no shot is no shot. Even the flash on a compact can be really helpful to you so don't be afraid!! Feel free to message me if I can be of any Help! Rock out!!

Hi guys!

I hope you are all well! It's this time of year again. So I recently entered an amateur photography competition on NME magazine website. I'd really appreciate any votes i can get. So please can you all vote for my photos?

It would mean the world to win seeing as each winner in the amateur categories will be invited to the NME offices to meet NME's picture editor and and NME photographer for a professional consultation on their portfolio! You also win lots of Nikon gear, so it's all pretty cool!
