A new set of monsters to follow the first one!

Ammut or Ammit, the devouress of souls from Egyptian mythology - not a proper monster as much as a very fearsome goddess. With head of crocodile, front limbs of lion, and back limbs of hippopotamus, she would devour the heart of those who failed the trial before Anubis, leaving their soul to wander in chaos forever.

The qilin is a sort of chimera from Chinese tradition, with head of dragon, horns of deer, body of carp, legs of ox, and tail of lion; it was said to appear to foretell the birth or the death of a wise man. This form was fully defined under the Qing dynasty; under the earlier Ming it was identified with the giraffe.

Anzu or zu (there are more readings) is a giant bird associated with storms in the Mesopotamian mythologies. A personification of thunder clouds, it was said to breathe fire and water, and sometimes depicted with the head of a lion.
