Comment on D.I.D. You Know? by tigrin

Wow, this is incredibly informed and way easier to understand than wikipedia! You should really think about doing comics explaining other disorders like this because the explanations are easy to understand, the comics add a small dose of humor and clarity to the subject, and it's all in all nonjudgemental. =)

Thank! I would make more comics if I felt like I knew as much about anything else mental health-related. There are some things I know quite a bit about (like most anxiety disorders), but I spent several years studying dissociative disorders and talking to people who experienced them (including myself) before writing this one.

So you have a dissociative disorder? And it sounds like you spend a lot of time in the field of psychology, do you have a job in that field?

I was diagnosed with DD-NOS as a teen (the panel with the little girl looking at a flower were my 'alters' at the time). It's not really something that I deal with as much anymore. I'm not involved in the field of psychology at all, I just wanted to know as much as I could about dissociative disorders. :) Studying psychology is a weird hobby for me. I think it's always the people with the most problems to solve who are the most interested in it, haha.

Haha yeah I can understand that, forgive me if I pry but were all of your alters nice? Oh and I just can't keep this smirk off my face looking at your icon lol.

No, they weren't all nice. Some were a bit mean, some were a bit troublesome. As I've gotten older I've learned to accept all the parts of myself and it's not really something I have an issue with anymore. I think things are crazy for everyone as a teen.

ha! I can attest to that =).
