Rules and Guidelines

1.If you use the sketches, lineart, stock photos etc. created by someone else, please ensure you have permission to do so. It can either be because they've give permission to everyone i.e. in their artists comments it says 'Feel free to colour and/or ink' etc. OR you actually asked the artist yourself. Also please credit the artist/model/stock photographer in your artist comments.

We are employing a 'benefit of the doubt' rule. All inks and colours, photomanipulations will be accepted as we will assume you've read the rules and followed them. However if art theft is suspected or is suggested by someone else, we will check with the original artist. However you will not have your artwork removed until we get a reply from the original artists saying this was stolen/edited without permission.

2. If you have commissioned a piece of relevant artwork and you have been granted permission to post it in your gallery, you may submit it here as long as the credits are given.

3.Only published comic characters right now rather than character from comics you're working on for example. We may eventually open up an unpublished comic vixens gallery but right now, we're keeping it strictly published. Also no characters 'inspired by' comic characters as this would fit into the same category as above. And the same goes for OCs from comic series. Again maybe in future but right now we're sticking to the canons. Also right now we're mainly stick to the mainstream comic publishers rather than indie publishers. In the future, this may change but as we accept a lot of characters and publishers right, right now it would seem unlikely to be able to keep track not to mention where you draw the line. We will however try and find a way to give indie publishers a feature in future but not at the moment. The easiest guideline so you can work out whether the character you've drawn fits is do they appear on ComicVine or the respective publishers database? Then they're allowed.

4. Just female comic characters who originated in comics rather than Buffy the Vampire Slayer for example who started out as a film then tv series but later had a comic. There are so many comic spinoffs from tv and films that it will start to fill up the gallery pretty fast.

5. The same goes for non comic characters dressed up as comic characters. Because the art isn't actually of Storm, for example, but rather a picture of another character dressed up as Storm, it wouldn't count (cosplay excluded :D)

6. This is less of a rule and more a guideline. We don't have a submission limit but to prevent flooding, please try and restrict yourself to maybe five deviations a day give or take one or two.

7. We do accept mature content i.e. nudity, violence etc as long as it doesn't conflict with dA's rules and it has a mature content filter on it.

8. Crossovers are accepted but use your discretion. For example, your Wonder Woman and Spongebob Squarepants crossover might not work out but Watchmen and Batman for example? Fine.

9. Redesigns of characters are accepted as long as we can still tell it's the character in some way.

10. Finally, we don't encourage elitism so if you spent time on it and it's relevant, submit it. The only time we decline is if you've sent in a one minute doodle that only just looks like the character on some lined paper for example. Submit the work you'd want to associate with yourself.

11. We do not accept recreations. That is, you've copied an existing piece of art down to the same art style, character, pose, etc etc. Mainly because the art style wouldn't be your own and nor would the concept. However if you were to recreate an existing picture but with your own style or take on it, that would be acceptable.

But this is the end of the club. I'm making the personal decision to leave dA and accordingly I'm closing the club as well. The club will still exist as an archive of all your work that you've sent in over the years but you will be unable to submit anymore.

I really appreciate your support over the years but it's time to move on. Good luck to all over comic groups out there! And thank you to all the fans out too!

I will, of course, be announcing the winners of our final contest however and they will receive their prizes as soon as possible.

The winner of the Digital category is:star: mdavidct! :star:

And the winner of the Traditional category is :star: Amy-Hands! :star:

You will be receiving your prizes hopefully within the hour!

Thank you again to everyone :)

Bye all!
