This is a depository for comic strips! Rules: 1. Contributors can submit 1 item per day while Members can submit 1 a week. Member Submissions must be voted on but contributors are auto approved. Becoming a contributor requires votes from staff and other contributors. We may invite you to be a contributor if you've shown that you can deliver a punchline on a regular basis. 2. In English prease. 3. Original strips only, no fan-art, manga. These generally aren't funny. Graphic novel type comics look great but of the page isn't funny it doesn't belong here. Recycled memes do not belong here. Superheroes need to be super funny. 4. Technique isn't important, but it should be legible and get laughs. The funnier it is, the more likely it will be approved. Humor ranges from cute to obscene, we don't consider any topic too vulgar. 5. Please submit self-contained strips that can deliver a joke by themselves. The reader shouldn't have to have read any of your prior comics to be able to understand your submission. That's all I think |
WHATS THIS?
Had a few entries today, the pizza one was the only comic that made it through. I want to remind everyone that when submitting at ComicStripClub we are mainly looking for short self sustaining comics with a punchline. Reader's shouldn't have to know all the previous comics in the series or the inner workings of the character's mind before they can get the joke. If the reader stumbled upon this single panel and never saw another one, would they get it? Would they have any idea what the fuck is going on? If you're doing a series, consider doing a separate project with self contained jokes for submission here, and maybe that will get through. I'll be here to crap all over your submissions in the meantime.

This group is literally dead.
The admin came online last year, banned everyone who was submitting comics, then buggered off.
Meanwhile, I've been the only person keeping the club going by choosing which comics get accepted or not (I think there's someone else, but I don't know who). And the admin completely refused to give me more power to be able to get this club truly living again, because I've never ran a club before.
I've been considering starting up a new club, and invite everyone from this club over to it. But I'm not sure if it would be worth it.
But if I did do that, I'd probably submit an announcement of it into the gallery.

Hello everyone. I've literally (LITERALLY! Not figuratively. I'm highly literal about this.) not been on DA in years. Didn't know if I'd ever be coming back. And I don't know how permanent this is going to be.
Hi, my pages were waiting for a substitution and got expired. Is there any sense to re-submit? Is the group alive?
I've been gone for a few years. I'm back (I don't know for how long) but I'm here to revamp as much as I can. Re-submit, please.
Hey Kyle, you might want to send a note to Brandon (BlopNuts) -- I'm not sure if you'll get a reply soon, I sent him a note earlier this month and it doesn't look like he's had time to read it, although the site says he was online last week. So my suspicion is that he's been swamped with something at home. But either way, I think that's probably the best way to get in touch with him. 
I just sent a note to Brandon. He was online yesterday, so my guess is he's just gotten busy recently and that's why the submissions have backed up.
