Description: Moonribbons are rarely seen near the lower lantern paths.

They prefer the higher sky layers where the clouds thin enough for starlight to spill directly through the veil currents. Most sightings happen during quiet nights when the sky turns strange colors for no clear reason.

Unlike many Gleam-class Shimmers, Moonribbon does not seek crowds.

It drifts slowly through the air as though listening to something very far away.

Its enormous tail stores fragments of atmospheric light collected from the Prism Currents above Lanternveil Skyways. These colors shift subtly depending on the emotional atmosphere nearby. Calm wonder creates softer blues and golds. Excitement brightens the tail into vivid rainbow streaks that shimmer like moving silk.

Moonribbon is strangely fascinated by reflections. It will pause beside puddles, polished windows, still tea surfaces, and mirror charms, staring quietly at reflected moons as though expecting them to move differently from the sky above.

Some collectors believe Moonribbon can sense emotional paths before they fully form. Others think it simply likes beautiful things.

Disposition: Dreamy, observant, emotionally curious, softly playful

Visibility: Rarely seen directly. Witnesses usually describe the sky feeling “closer” than normal shortly before a sighting.
