Mochi And Starpuff: Rainbow Drift

Most parts of the Shimmer Realm don't feel dangerous at first.

They feel like rainbow clouds, hanging paper stars, soft paws, floating ribbons, and a sky a child might imagine before learning that skies can have rules. Mochi found one of those places by accident, or at least that is what she thinks.

The little creature beside her appeared almost immediately, bright-eyed and delighted, as if it had been waiting for someone with the right kind of wonder to notice it. It followed her through the pastel clouds, chased the dangling stars, and kept looking back whenever she laughed.

Mochi doesn't fully understand the Shimmer Realm yet. She only knows that some places answer her feelings before she speaks, and some tiny beings seem to recognize something in her that she has not learned to name.

For now, that is enough.
