This... is old. I did this in 2006 for my art class. We had to combine two famous paintings together from two different historical art movements.
MY FAVORITES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ROMANTICISM AND NEO-CLASICISM.
I always loved the Frankenstein novel cover, so i chose that, and David is one of my most favorite artists of all time, so yes.
I know there are a lot of things wrong with both images, but this picture is fairly large in reality. Anyways. Since i haven't been able to post recent things lately, I'm uploading old stuff i never have before!
I think i was so proud of this because 3 teachers asked if they could have a copy of it. I would have gave Regan the original, but my mom wanted to keep this herself, so Mr. Hotty teacher just got a huge glossy print.
Done with acrylics on heavy paper...starts with an 'm', sounds French? i think? It's paper.
Original paintings are :
- Caspar David Friedrich, 'Wanderer above the Sea of Fog' (background)
- Jacques-Louis David, 'The Death of Marat' (foreground)
