If you want to write a novel, that's great. I wish you all the best and I'm not going to tell you how to come up with ideas or how to develop your characters, plots and sub-plots, or even how to define your genre.
What I am going to do is give some advice on editing and preparation in case you ever hope to get published and to define your reasons for wanting to be published.
We'll start with the reasons.
If you want to get published so you can be rich and not have to work anymore, forget it.
