Wow, that is such a sweet idea.
I love all of the shading and how the elephants trunk is in the pocket of the suit jacket.
The detail on the wood is also amazing. :+fav:

I knew it! I've always suspected that elephant!

Well done. Beautiful line work. I like the subtle Victorian whimsy feel of this.

like the comment before, im not entirely sure on how this technique works but it surely looks difficult. reminds of my illustration days with pencils. its pretty hard and takes a lot of time.

anyway, great composition and the wooden wall in the background has some amazing details. keep it up. great work !

This is a bit different in the process, instead of taking it out by hand, the stell plate is etched, you lay it into acid, the drawing is carved out by the acid. Then you ink it and press it. For the graytones, an additional manipulation of the plate is necessary, it's pretty manual, the whole stuff. If you want the full details, I encourage you to look it up somewhere. :)

Wow, superb. I'm not entirely sure what steel plate etching with aquatinte consists of, but it doesnt sound easy, and the results are great.
I love the idea, makes me smile :giggle: I particulary like the stopwatch under the croc, reminds me of peter pan ;)
You used the lines perfectly in terms of shading and creating the appearance of different textures!
Great job
