Oil on Canvas

I had another large canvas that I wanted to use and was really feeling the movement and fun of my previous painting, Eclipse. I got a little more expressive with this one. I also had some unexpected help from my 4.5 year old daughter who really wanted to help. It was a challenge to allow her to actually do some "painting" as I had a specific flow in mind, but I think that bit of chaos added to overall feel of the painting.

That's awesome!  I truly appreciate what it takes to allow a young child to "help" with a painting.  I have a seven year old who loves to paint, and especially always wants to work on my paintings with me.  I always feel like such a jerk when I can't allow her to paint on them, but I think I'll take up the challenge with a large canvas, and just make something with her.  I've done crayon collaborations with her, though.  :)

Thank you! I had that split second of "NOOOO!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!" and then two things dawned on me...I can always paint over it and "fix" it (yay! abstract) and I'm building happy memories with my daughter. What will my daughter remember? "I painted with daddy". I can deal with repaints :-]

This would be the 3rd or 4th time she's "helped" me with my painting. The first one was actually a colab...I designed for her room, got a canvas ready, some acrylics set out and we painted for about 30 minutes. She had just turned 3. This was that painting we did:

As your "Eclipse" (with yellow eye catcher) terrific in its simplicity. Here, my eyes are moving from dark to bright white and this upward direction via central green depicts for me very positive mood. I´m curious to see the next of your series, perhaps with central RED to complete the traffic light series?

Ha! I didn't think about traffic lights! Interesting idea. I was actually thinking blue, but that might change after I finish my next one that is going to be heavy with blue.
