So finally posting something after months and months of artist block. Finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere, this was a journey. Struggled for a really long time with my work and I'm emerging into something pretty nifty. My organic line work seems to meld well with tree forms and I am going to explore this for a bit.

Thank you! Me too. I think this combines a lot of what I've been working with over the years.

It does seem to be, it's definitely a different direction... interesting to see you bring in a new dimension.

Me too. I've been having fun exploring compositions in my sketchbooks before I commit to painting. I really want to nail this down so it's not stale.

A very moving piece. It was the first image I clicked on opening the deviant home page.

I see your surreal creation in an positive way realizing the complete view of a growing tree, the sunny side and the hidden one both feeding life...

Interesting. I am intrigued by the little green smudges next to the trunk and how/why you did those.

Thank you.

The green was part of the under-painting when I just started to lay in the background. As the painting evolved that green stayed because I like the movement of the brushstrokes and it became a place for the tree to spring to life.

This is beautiful~! That vibrant green is so lively and eye catching, and I love the organic look of the textures~ The dripping roots are a really cool touch, too!
