This is amazing and coincidentally I found it via google while looking for a Mario level picture to do something very similar in blender :)

..............how long did it take make this on AutoDesk 3DSMax, by the way?

Cheers, glad you like it. I'm not quite sure how long it took, about a days work with some trial and error.

It always seems to be trial and error more than anything doesn't it? I should know due to the many times I've had problems with what works and what doesn't work on Photoshop and there is always something new that I'm learning about Photoshop. Not to mention that I also am still learning C# programming as well.

Yeah very true, though i also enjoy the trial and error stages, its fun to finally work things out.

And then take what you've learned and applied it to future projects. It's very satisfying, at least to me it is.
