Painted my sister, :iconilenora:'s, birthday :squee:
Go wish her a happy birthday and give her some love - she is a very talented artist! :la:

This little guy is a Tamandua :happybounce:

Tamanduas live in forests and grasslands, are semi-arboreal, and possess partially prehensile tails. They mainly eat ants and termites, but they occasionally eat bees, beetles, and insect larvae. In captivity, they will eat fruits and meat. They have no teeth and depend on their powerful gizzard to break down their food.

The Northern Tamandua ranges from southeastern Mexico south throughout Central America, and in South America west of the Andes from northern Venezuela to northern Peru. Southern Tamanduas are found from Venezuela and Trinidad to northern Argentina, southern Brazil and Uruguay.

They are very clumsy on the ground unlike their cousin, the giant anteater. To avoid puncturing their palms with their sharp claws, they walk on the outsides of their "hands."

I hope you like it! :dummy:

Gosh, just how did you draw this fur :icontearplz:
I looked through so many fur tutorials but none of them looks like this :worship:
Surely takes a while to draw every single strain |D
May I ask what brush do you use for it? O: The square brush?
I wish you had another walkthrough for this one! 8D
The lighting, the shadows, even the eyes, it all fits perfectly together and looks absolutely stunning!
...moar.... MOAR!! :stab:

Wow, thank you so very much! :la:

Yes, I draw every little strand, and I did use the square brush - only I disabled the Shape Dynamics on it to make the fur look long and silky :dummy:
