Hello beautiful artists! I'm a bit new here, so I hope this is a good place to put this. I am no visual artist; I can only write and will maybe produce music someday, but I run some Facebook pages and love spreading and sharing awesome art. My goal is to rack up some awesome artists I can 'watch' and share their stuff with their permission. I am currently trying to send messages requesting permission from a ton of people. Please, if you would like me to share your things, message me here or find me on FB! I will post page links below.
If I message you and you never answer, unless I see that you stated somewhere that you DON'T want things shared, I will link your account to the pictures I upload.
If you tell me not to, I will avoid using your art unless it's a pure accident and I didn't realize it was your art.
If you give me permission, I will upload your art onto FB with a link to your account and state your artist name.
(I will also post the messaging I am sending to people below. I will probably edit it just a little from what I've already sent.)
If you see your things on my pages and want them removed, I will ask you to message me here so I know it's the real artist, and then with clarification, I will remove the post and avoid use of the things you ask me to avoid.
Some artists seem to believe under FB's rights policy that FB can do whatever with pictures that are uploaded on the site. I have not heard of any cases of abuse and have seen larger pages do what I plan to do without consequence. To me, the policy is a blanket explanation that FB can use images for legal issues. I am currently trying to gather more information, and my findings may be updated over time. I love being a page admin, but by no means would I ever want to harm anyone's work.

Here is a photographer that somehow got a hold of a FB team member in 2010 and was told that abuse of art was something FB was NOT allowed to do: www.facebook.com/notes/andy-ro…
I have messaged this man and am awaiting a response for more clarification, but his explanation seems hopeful.
In all honesty, some people don't care who the artist is, but a lot of people love to see other's being credited and seek out who the original artists are. It's your discretion from what I've said to give me permission. From what I've seen, about 10% of the fan pages I follow credit people's work, and I don't want to be that way anymore. I've seen many of the people's things I follow on here not credited, and I want to try to set a better example for the other admins out there.
Another concern, I do have admins that work under me and I am actively encouraging them to credit. Most of them do, but I cannot take full responsibility if some of them forget. They are my friends, not my employees. I will always try my personal best to credit everyone. If I can't find a source at all or it's on some sketchy site with no artist name, I'll simply state 'artist unknown' with a link to where I found it, but I try to Google Image search it to find the artist first.
Please contact me here or on FB with any questions or concerns.
As you can see most of them are Zelda or Smash Bros related and one Wolf art page.
I will also be keeping a running list of artists I use art from under a side note on the pages, so if you give me permission I will add you to said list.
Message I'm sending to people:Hello there! I love your work and was wondering if I have permission to upload your art to my various FB pages. I will link your account to each post.
I will add your artist name and account link to a side note under my pages just in case I miss the chance to grab a link to you. My goal is to spread people's art, create awesome communities on Facebook and entertain people. One last request: I do upload snippets of my FanFictions with art for added imagination. I will source you there too, but my main concern is if you don't want any sort of affiliation with another person's writing. I of course will make sure other's understand none of your artwork is mine and has nothing to do with said writings, but I just had to ask as a precaution.
I have a journal entry under my profile with more information on FB policies and more in-detail explanations if you want more info. Some artists have brought up concerns so I did (and am still doing) a little research. I can copy and paste it too if you wish, but it's kinda long.
Thanks for reading this!
