Apolleon Aria Diamaranthi (Bug-type Eeveelution)

Apolleon Aria Diamaranthi is my creation. This is concept art of my take on a Bug-type Eeveelution. (This specific one also happens to be Fairy-type.)

Apolleon, the Bug-type Eeveelution of the CBLTeon Eeveelution Project, is divided into six metamorphoses (Katsarida, Enepsigos, Sin, Praetor, Iridescae and Diamaranthi) across two affinities (Coda and Aria). Three metamorphoses are in the Coda affinity (Katsarida, Enepsigos and Sin) and the other three are in the Aria affinity (Praetor, Iridescae and Diamaranthi). Apolleon Coda are emotionally damaged and often hateful as such while Apolleon Aria are emotionally stable and safe to interact with.

Eevee evolves into an Apolleon Coda when leveling up at low friendship, and using a Bug Stone on it at middling or high friendship results in an Apolleon Aria.

Apolleon can freely metamorphose between Katsarida and Enepsigos at low friendship. At the lowest friendship level only, it can also access Sin. At high friendship, it can access Praetor and Iridescae. Only at the highest friendship level can Diamaranthi be accessed. Metamorphosis can only happen outside of combat (unless an ability allows differently) and have no requirements or limits on use. Each metamorphosis has its own learnset and retains the moves taught to it when shifting away and then back to it again.

Arias can not metamorphose into Codas and vice versa. All Arias and Codas can be of either sex/gender despite their respective masculine or feminine presentations.

The following is applicable specifically to Apolleon Aria Diamaranthi:

• Nearly incorruptible. Nearly.

• The only Apolleon who's Fairy-type and one of just two dual-type Eeveelutions in existence in the CBLTeon Eeveelution Project.

• Achieved only when an Apolleon reaches max friendship with its trainer. This metamorphosis is only usable while their friendship remains at max.

• Extremely benevolent and loving. Merely snuggling an Apolleon Aria Diamaranthi causes immediate respite from suffering and disease, even terminal cases. Sleeping next to it can cure cancers and restore homeostasis to a human, animal or Pokémon's body, increasing metabolism and blood flow, reversing aging and improving happiness.

• The tail and wings are energetic projections that fade if the Apolleon faints or becomes weak/ill in some way. The spikes of hair on its head glow in a similar manner as the wings and tail, but those are physical and permanent. They are the same brown color of Diamaranthi's fur with cream-colored tips, similar to the ears and locks.

• The wing projections do functionally allow flight unlike its siblings. They tend to flit as a matter of habit but don't physically need to in order to enable flight. Diamaranthi's flight is slow and flowing, graceful and easy. It can not ascend above roughly 80 m (240-ish feet).

• The fireflies around it change in number over time in accordance with fallen comrades who watch over it. Each firefly is an unbreakable friendship or camaraderie from someone who has moved past their mortal anchor. Each one watches over Diamaranthi and its allies, protecting and fortifying them in some way.

• The pink glow above the back of its head is an eighth chakra beyond its crown, one that only illuminates when the other seven are aligned and active. This one represents godly unity through infinite love and compassion.

• Its ability to ward off pain and sickness is tied directly to its energy levels. It usually has a shitload of energy and sleeps when that begins to change, always keeping its energy up. Depriving a Diamaranthi of sleep is dangerous as its physical immune system is adjusted to this heightened protection, meaning it will not have the physical immune resistance of other Eeveelutions without its natural shielding.

• Can safely consume alcohol and will become inebriated much faster than humans. It can get a little rude in this state but never loses touch with its benevolent roots.

• Known to cause infatuation in others rather easily due to its beauty and kindness. This can open up some unhealthy treatment from others who are toxic about it, particularly humans and Pokémon who are accustomed to rejection and interpret kindness as more than it really is.

• Will get violent if it needs to. Hard to irritate, but Diamaranthi understands the difference between accidents and out-and-out disrespect.

• Generally difficult to piss off and possesses the emotional flexibility to go with most decisions made by others if Diamaranthi itself isn't calling the shots. The exception to this is when persistently resisting its attempts at servicing a higher moral code, particularly if one's objections are egregious, in which case an angry Diamaranthi may be seen.

• Cocky and badass combatant. Takes pain surprisingly well. Does so with a seemingly impossible amount of grace and benevolence, refusing to hold grudges -- but Diamaranthi does remember injustices and will pursue them after the fact.

• More intelligent than most humans; not an innocent idiot. Lying to an Apolleon Aria Diamaranthi to gain an edge will not work like you hope. If one addresses your flaws and wrongdoing, you listen, follow and accept what it's saying. Be a better person. Diamaranthi infinitely believes in this and will help you get there and beyond.

• Apolleon Aria Diamaranthi is the "Infinite Hope" Pokémon, the antithesis of Apolleon Coda Sin, the "Infinite Hate" Pokémon.

• I created this Eeveelution through a lot of running tears, often to the point I had to stop, which has made this design take months to complete. The Apolleon line as a whole represents the trauma my wife and I endured from our abusers (Apolleon Coda Katsarida and Enepsigos), the abusers themselves (Apolleon Coda Sin), our path to healing (Apolleon Aria Praetor and Iridescae), and the friends who helped us along the way (Apolleon Aria Diamaranthi).
