Cecil the Lion
Someday the creatures on that program will be akin to unicorns and griffins. A fairy-tale bestiary written in past tense, and no one is lifting a finger to stop it. Why not, Lizzie? Why not us?
- Raymond Reddington, “The Mombasa Cartel”
My late (but much-needed) tribute painting of Cecil the Lion! Soon I will be making prints of this to sell at conventions and festivals I plan on attending this year. The money I earn from this digital painting will be donated to lion conservation.
Above is also one of my favorite Reddington quotes - in which he is expressing his concern for dwindling wildlife populations being on the verge of extinction. I found it to be more than appropriate for this subject!
