I think points are out of here. I'll do adoptables for points, but no one is buying my stuff for points. I have some adoptables in the works right now that will go for what I think will be a good price (they'll be like a dollar each) but I need to make money.
I know like none of my watchers plan to buy from me (I only get a couple comments that say 'yeah! you go!') but the support is still nice, even though it doesn't bring me exposure. \: I MIGHT sell prints but I heard a lot of bad things about those...
So... commissions are left, then. The prints can be for real life conventions and festivals.
I heard some discouraging things about commissions here:
"someone will always do something better and faster for cheaper on dA."
and... it's kinda true. I'll still try, of course, but... It's a bit hard to try to get the word out. \:
Maybe I'll join some groups or something, idk.
I don't think my prices will be insane. $5-10 for sketch comms, $15-20 for general complete comms, and then $20-25 for full background and etc. Those are actually really cheap prices and it upsets me that people put all their artistic talent in for just 200 points. It really bogs down the community.
Mostly, I'm going to leave the prices up to the buyer. I'll tell them the minimum I'd like and they can increase it if they want to based on how much they think it's worth.
This journal was mostly talking to myself, but I'm pretty serious about the commissions. It's just difficult trying to find where to get exposure.
