Molly Blue 13, Molly's home

By cloudmonet
This page and the next, we get a look inside Molly's house as she packs for the adventure. I know she used to have a boat, but I think it belonged to her ex-boyfriend took it or something like that. I'm not sure what's up with climbing the poles. Molly says much later that there's a long story about what happened to the ladder.

Update: November 5, 2008: Molly explains later why she always wears red shirts. Now the one she's packing is also red.

You'd think that the poles would be kinda slippery and barnacle-ly but Molly's probably used to it.

Well, not so much barnacle-ly, because this is a freshwater lake. Which might lessen the slippery, because there's no big waves. The big question is why and how Molly or any of the other villagers might have built such a platform. WHY has to do with Molly and her shamanistic belief system. HOW— I'm inclined to think she had outside help— or else her predecessor did! Why no ladder? Perhaps the water level used to be higher, and a ladder seemed unnecessary then.
