The next morning, a funeral was held for Delfina. It seemed like the whole village had gathered to pay their respects to Beatriz' mother. Maria perched on Beatriz' head as some source of comfort as the teenager wept quietly. Now that her mother was gone, Beatriz had her heart set more than ever on travelling to the Madrigal casita and seeing her real father again. My name is Keaton. I used to be the guitarist for a band called Just Because. It consisted of me, Sean on bass, and Jake on drums. The three of us used to meet regularly to play together in the recording studio I made out of a shed in my backyard and would record tracks of songs we played and share them with our friends and family. We enjoyed writing and playing our own original songs but we also enjoyed making our own covers of songs that already existed. The very last time we played together was some time in October when we felt like getting in touch with our spooky side and decided to do our own cover of The Ghost Walk, a 1933 instrumental song by Borrah Minevitch. While we were recording our cover of the song, I managed to hit every needed note and chord on my guitar. The three of us also managed to come up with some creatively creepy sound effects to go with the song. We had a lot of fun with it.
