Rus Boyar with Bardiche and shield

Another concept piece for my friend and I's hypothetical comic about a conflict between humans and fugitive aliens in the 1400s. Humans are a collection of the various historical factions at the time who are united- for the most part- in their quest to rid the world of alien filth. And the aliens, escaped slaves from a distant empire, have no interest in going down without a fight. More exciting things to come!


This fine fellow is a wealthy Russian footmen in the service of one of the nobles attempting to drive out the aliens. He is armed with a Bardiche-style polearm and a heavy shield, with a curved Tartar saber at his side. Note the burn marks on his shield- the result of alien fire.
