grandma. by ClickyPenPixieOfDoom grandma. by ClickyPenPixieOfDoom
i know this isnt the best quality photo i've submitted...
and it is more qualified to go under scraps, but hear me out.

this picture was taken like maybe 3 days before my grandma tripped & hit her head really hard during her daily walk at the local park.
now her head is bruised & swollen...and she's been really sick.
she had to go to the hospital.
i'm worried.

this picture is really really important to me...because it was the last day she & i really got to hang out before her accident.
and she spent the whole day in san francisco with me and my stepdad...
she bought me things in japan town...
and even came to the booth while i was working for magick [link]

and all she could really talk about was how proud she was of me...
and how beautiful all the jewelry is that ive made.

and..

well...

this is me and her.
at the end of our trip.
that glow in the background is alcatraz.

She definitely reminds me of my grandmother. People forget, really, that us grandchildren are as proud of our grandparents as they are of us.

I rode in a car 3 hours and spent the weekend at a motel while my sister was going absolutely crazy because she was in a beauty pageant that weekend (the reason for staying in the motel 180 miles north of here) and I tagged along and my other sister tagged along, not to see the pageant or to root for my sister, but to see my grandmother who drove 3 hours south from her house to see the pageant. It sounds like you would do the same thing for your grandmother in a heartbeat. So I really hope she feels better quickly, because as I think I mentioned it before, you don't really feel the sympathy for someone unless you can turn it into empathy for yourself, by imagining how you would feel if something like this happened in your own family.

You live in SanFran? I used to live about 30-50 mn (depending what time it was) out side of there, in SanRafiel, before that Sausalito (in a boat) and before that in Sleepyhalow now I'm back in Oregon, where I'm from before Cali... and that's my life story :D.....
