The Hercules is an icon having seen action in Vietnam, the raid on Entebbe, the Indo-Pakistan war, the Falklands war, and Desert Storm among others.
The Hercules carries 92 passengers or 64 airborne troops or 2-3 Humvees, or other vehicles and has a payload of 45,000 lb (20,400 Kg)

This is one of two units that the FAC bought new of this aircraft, the others, a grand total of 12 (7 still in service) were either donated or bought used, the last one in 2005.
