Description
A solid train of special cars loaded with crushed rock creeps south under I-235 and over University Boulevard on the East side of Des Moines.
It was baking hot and 1/2 mile ahead of this train a UP cop is looking for "a guy in a dark shirt messing around the diamond" where the North-South line crosses over the West lead to Shortline Yard.
This cab is one of many units equipped with a camera for capturing pictures of idiots doing stupid things. I wonder how many pictures of me "Uncle Pete" has.

I love this shot... the angle and the light... and of course the train. Been past over this track a few times in my travels, but never got to shoot...
