The Secret Origin of Superman: Chapter 8 Clark’s eyes widened.  “Tarzan? But that doesn’t make any sense. I thought he was a fictional character from books that Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote about.” Clark said in disbelief.  Tarzan, his real name being John Clayton III or Lord Greystoke, allowed the faintest hint of a smile to form on his face.  “Well, Mr. Burroughs heard enough of the truth to turn it into stories. The rest he filled in with his own imagination.” Tarzan explained. “But I am as real as one can be.” Tarzan said.  “I don't know what to say. I’m at a loss of words. I have a lot of questions. Like, how much of the books were true? And how come you're speaking with an American accent? You almost sound like you could be from my home state of Kansas.” Clark said.  “I figured that would be the case. I'm sure we have all the time for you to ask questions back at our ranch.” Tarzan said. “Oh John, I just wanted to let you know we found something quite interesting in the

The Secret Origin of Superman: Chapter 6 Kelex would then begin to explain to Clark everything about where he came from.  “You see young Kal-El, while you spent most of your life living in Kansas as Clark Kent, you're actually from another planet far off into the stars that was once known as Krypton. While you may look Identical to the homosapien species of Earth, you're actually another race simply known as the kryptonians. “The kyptonians? So that’s what I am.” Clark said.  “Correct, you are in fact a kryptonian.” Kelex said.  “So, is that why I have all these powers?” Clark asked.  “Well, that is partially the reason. On planets with red suns such as the one Krypton had, you are just as normal as any unaltered human or anthro, but with a yellow sun such as the one for Earth, it grants you abilities that exceed what an average man can do.” Kelex explained.  “So are you saying the sun is giving me my powers?” Clark asked.  “Precisley, that is the reason you have the powers

The Secret Origin of Superman: Chapter 4 Five years had passed and Clark was now in middle school. The Second World War had come to an end with the Allies’ victory, and thus began the post war era. It was now the beginning of the 1950s and life was starting to return to the pre-war lifestyle that people longed for after nearly five years of conflict.  Clark, now a pre-teen, was just like any boy his age was. He was athletic, out going, loved hanging out with his friends and read a lot of comic books.  At school, he would join the school's baseball team and would go to practice after school on Fridays.  However, while he was really good when it came to catching and pitching, when it was his turn to be the batter, there was a problem. Every time he would swing the wooden bats that they would be using, it would splinter and disintegrate upon impact with the ball.  This little inconvenience would be frustrating for the young boy. But despite that, his coach would still support Clark

The Secret Origin of Superman: Chapter 3 Smallville, Kansas April 1941 Despite the ongoing chaos happening in the world by the beginning of the 1940s due to World War II however, in a small town in the midwestern United States, life carried on. However, the newspapers and radio didn’t hide the escalating conflict going on overseas. The Kingdom of Mobius had already declared war on Germany a year prior after the bombing of Station Square, meaning the war was already escalating quickly, while the United States was not getting involved in the war. The ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Germany’s ally the Japanese Empire due to the oil embargo was giving people thoughts on whether the United States could stay out of this war. However, with two residents of Smallville, the foreign conflicts were the furthest thing from their minds. 34 year old Johnathan Kent sat next to his 32 year old wife Martha. They sat at the town's local clinic. The two were well known in Smallville and the

The Secret Orgin of Superman: Chapter 2 Far off in the stars,  27.1 light-years from Earth in the southern constellation Corvus, was the Planet known as Krypton. From orbit, the planet resembled Earth, but with notable differences. The clouds were thick and almost resembled an ice continent, the oceans were a darker almost purple shade of blue, and the ground seemed to have a clay like color that resembled volcanic ash. The planet had 4 moons that orbited around the glow of its red sun. Down below, a single super continent would be the home of the planet's inhabitants. In the northern part of the planet, the capital city Rao was something out of a space serial. Tall buildings that towered over even the Empire State Building in New York City, Highways that zipped around the skyline, flying machines that zipped from one end of the continent to the other. It was almost like Krypton was years ahead in the future.  In the center of the city sat a massive circular structure, the size
