One Day|Reuniclus x Scientist!Reader

"Alright. Vital signs normal...psychic powers stabilized..yada yada.." You checked off the boxes on your checklist as you stood in front of the testing tube where Reuniclus was held in.

"Other Comments? Hmmm..." You hummed, looking up to see the Multiplying Pokemon smiling at you and waving. Blushing slightly, you waved back, before scribbling down 'It seems more chipper than usual today. But I will look into this change of behavior myself.'

Hearing tapping, you looked up again to see your Porygon2 in front of the tube, tapping against the glass with its beak. Reuniclus grinned and tapped back, as though he was communicating with the blue and red Pokemon.

"Porygon2, would you please come back?" You called. The Virtual Pokemon just turned around, staring at you. "If that glass even has a itty-bitty crack in it, the Professor's not gonna be happy..."

Porygon2 nodded, but looked back at Reuniclus. The Multiplying Pokemon seemed sad that his friend was leaving him, so you made note of that as Porygon2 flew back to your side and onto your shoulder.

'Judging from its interaction with my Porygon2, it seems to like company' As it waited for you to finish, it raised its head up, doing a scan and updating the technology around the lab and repairing the hole it may have accidentally made.

Reuniclus watched in awe as the Virtual Pokemon did its job, but frowned. If only he could be useful for more than just testing.

"Here's my report for Reuniclus, Professor."

"Ah, thank you Mrs./Mr. [L/n]," he smiled, taking the paper and reading it over. "Hmm..very good....oh?" He raised an eyebrow.

"W-What is it, sir?" You asked, slightly worried.

"Oh nothing, it just says here that Reuniclus prefers to be in company..hmm....perhaps I can permit that.."

"What do you mean, sir?"

"[Y/n]," he put set the paper down on his desk, before clasping his hands together and looking up at you. "I will allow Reuniclus out of its containment so you can spend quality time with it."

You did a double-take. "Say wha...."

"I will have someone else conduct research on its behavior outside containment," the Professor explained, smiling at you. "I only wish to see if it can handle being around humans and Pokemon alike and is not a danger to them."

"I doubt he'd hurt anyone, Professor," you admitted, glancing over your shoulder to see Reuniclus and Porygon2 playing together again. "From what I've seen...I don't think he could hurt a fly."

"How does it feel to be free, Reuniclus?"

"Reu!" The Multiplying Pokemon chirped, flying around the room. He was bouncing off the white walls. You expected him to act this way, considering he's been in a test tube ever since he was a Solosis.

"Alright," you giggled, taking out your Pokeballs. He stopped in front of you, his eyes widening. "Let's see how you are around other Pokemon."

Porygon2, Magnemite, Joltik, Dedenne, Klang, and Rotom all came out to meet Reuniclus. At first, you regretted your decision to release all six of your Pokemon at one time, afraid their presence would overwhelm him.

But you saw Dedenne walk up to him. The Antenna Pokemon tilted his head, before he hesitantly poked Reuniclus' jello-like body with one paw. You were prepared for the worst...until you saw Reuniclus smiling and giggling. Dedenne did the same and poked his body again.

As the others went up to greet him, Joltik, on the other hand, was a bit shy so he stayed on your head. "J-Joltik?"

"Yes, Joltik," you replied, smiling. "I am happy for him. Reuniclus is finally making friends..and maybe one day...he'll find a good trainer who will treat and love him well."

It was a sigh of relief to see your Pokemon already accepting and befriending the Multiplying Pokemon.
Maybe you can ask the Professor if you could continue to have these "sessions", but when you looked beyond the glass of the room and saw his smile, you knew for sure he'd say yes.
